Set up a cozy corner right away with their bed, favorite toys, and food/water bowls. The familiar smells and routines help reduce anxiety. Keep them in one part of the house at first, then slowly introduce them to the rest of their new kingdom.

🐾 Stick to a Routine
Feeding, walks, and playtime should stay on schedule. Pets thrive on routine, and keeping things predictable helps them feel secure while they adjust.

• Sholan Farms- Leominster Great trails and open space for leashed walks, with beautiful views and apple picking in season!

• Northborough Dog Park Fully fenced and well-maintained, with separate areas for large and small dogs.

• Dog Park at Pulaski's Playground- Gardner offers a small dog area, a large dog area and an agility area. Double gates for entering the site.
  -Dog Waste Stations located at each entrance.
  -Water fountains
  -Benches
  -Agility Area includes a tube, walk ramp, and multiple grooming platforms
  
  

• Fitchburg Dog Park at Coolidge Park The park features areas for large and small dogs, a water fountain and a small pavilion.

• Coggshall Park - Fitchburg A peaceful setting for leashed walks in designated areas
  
  

• North Quabbin Dog Park - Orange Located just to the west at the Orange Municipal Airport area, this is a clean, fully fenced, off-leash facility. It features a sand/dirt ground surface and separate gated sections to keep dogs of different sizes safely separated.

• Doyle Conservation Area- Leominster While dogs must remain on a leash, this 157-acre Trustees property is widely considered one of the best spots in the area for socializing and walking dogs. It has extensive flat paths, wide-open meadows, and multiple dedicated pet waste stations.
  
  
• Winchendon Community Park - Winchendon A pristine, dog-friendly community space equipped with well-maintained walking trails. The town provides dog waste bins along the main paths to keep the park clean for pets and owners alike.

🐱 For Our Feline Friends
Cats need a quiet place to retreat. Start with one room that’s “theirs” while they get used to new smells and sounds. Use pheromone diffusers to ease stress, and give them plenty of vertical space (cat trees, window perches) for comfort.
